Hiking in Tux
The Tuxertal is an ideal starting point for hiking in the Zillertal
Due to its high altitude location compared to the rest of the Zillertal, the Tuxertal is the ideal starting point for breath-taking summer hikes. In Tux-Finkenberg there are more than 350 kilometres of hiking trails to explore in an impressive natural landscape – each with its own character. From relaxed strolls to high-altitude trails to romantic alpine pastures and huts to high alpine climbs, the paths lead past clear mountain lakes, across fragrant flower meadows and through ancient mountain forests.
A hiking holiday in the hotel “das Alois”
When you take that first look out of the window of your hotel room early in the morning, you can already see the black silhouettes of the mountains, towering high against the increasingly blue sky. A wonderful day awaits you on your hiking holiday at “das Alois”!
After a hearty breakfast set off directly from the hotel or take the nearby mountain lift, which will carry you up high. Around "das Alois" in Tux in the Zillertal you will find a true hiking paradise for leisurely walkers or summit seekers.
From wide country roads, which you can walk with young children, or picturesque paths through thick forests and fragrant meadows, through to steep climbs and small tracks over gravel and rock – the journey is always the destination!
Regardless of your strength and condition you will find the right tour for your days hiking at the end of the Zilletal.
After an adventure in the Alps treat yourself to some time-out in our wellness area, in the garden with lawn or on our sun terrace.

We will whisk you away to the impressive mountain world of the Tux Alps
From Monday to Friday we take you into the impressive mountain world around “das Alois”. We will show you “our mountains” on a guided hike. In Tux/Lanersbach you are our constant companions. With our hiking guides Helmut, Benjamin and Erich, you will make your way to the top.
Together we climb one of the Zillertal mountains and spur each other on to top sporting achievements. Don’t worry; we adapt the level of difficulty to the participants.
In the case of guided hikes, taxi costs for travelling to or picking up the participants are shared proportionately among all participants.
